Events and away days
Not only weddings.
About a third of our year is company away days, big birthdays and family lunches. The barn is twenty minutes from Oxford Parkway and eight from the M40, which makes it an easy place to get thirty people to by half past nine in the morning.
Corporate
A day rate that covers the day.
Our day delegate rate is £68 per person including VAT, with a minimum of twenty people. That covers the room from 8.30am to 5.30pm, arrival coffee and pastries, a proper hot lunch, tea with something at three, and all the kit below. Add an evening dinner for £46 a head.
There is no piped music, no hotel corridor and no other group in the building. People notice, and they tend to talk more.

How the barn sets up for work.
We will set the room however you want it and change it at lunchtime if the afternoon needs something different. Furniture is included in the rate.

Celebrations
Birthdays, anniversaries and the sort of lunch that runs to five.
Private hire for a celebration works the same way as a wedding: one booking a day, the whole site, and a coordinator who is here the whole time. Minimum spend is lower and there is no ceremony to build the day around, so the timings are yours.
Winter dates are the bargain. A Saturday in January with the burner lit, the festoons down low and eighty people eating pie is a very good evening for the money.

Long tables in the courtyard, a food van at the hatch and the fire pit going. Popular from June to September and in the fortnight before Christmas.
Milestone birthdays
Fortieths through to nineties. The barn takes 140 for dinner and the snug gives anyone who wants a sit down somewhere quiet to have it.
Anniversaries and vow renewals
Smaller and often midweek. The snug seats 24 and the courtyard does the rest, which suits a family lunch that runs long.
Christenings and naming days
Sunday lunches for 40 to 90, usually finished by four so people can drive home in daylight.
Memorials and celebrations of life
We do these at cost on weekdays. The snug, the courtyard and as much or as little formality as the family wants.
